The Guest Lectures are an excellent opportunity for students to meet global experts, to gain knowledge and build their understanding of nursing scope. Eminent speakers are invited to impart best educational light and enlighten our students with their ideas and experiences by sharing with us. The fascinating lectures on various topics boost the confidence of new aspirants as the lectures end with motivating question and answer sessions. Distinguished guest lecturers speak on various important topics that would prove beneficial for them while choosing the right career paths.

Expert Talk on “Neonatal Resuscitation Program”

Department of Child Health Nursing organized hands on workshop on “Neonatal Resuscitation Program” Under the First Golden Minute Project. Thetrainers were coming from IAP. Mr. Jonils Mackwan and Mr. Vijay Dhanesha, Senior Nursing Superintendent, Railway Hospital, Vadodara and IAP members. The group of 3rd Year B.Sc Nursing students received the hands on training by Mr. Jonils Mackwan, Mr. Vijay Dhanesha and Mr. Tejas Pandya.

Expert Talk on “Sign Language”

Language is most powerful tool in the communication but those who are deaf, mute and intellectual disable person can’t express emotions,feelings, happiness any many more so Parul institute of nursing arranged expert talk on ” Sign Language” session for the international students. The session followed by Dr. Arpita Chatterjee, is a philanthropist working for the social cause since a long time her profession a Homoeopathic doctor with expertise in Clinical Applied Hypnosis and Psychological counselling. The session was very informative and fruitfull for all the international students. As a health care team member communication pattern playing vital role not only verbal but also nonverbal communication.

Expert Talk on “Life is important,Let’s save it”

Department of Medical Surgical Nursing organizing expert talk on ” Life is Important, Let’s Save it”. The session was delivered by Dr. Mrugesh N Suthar. The session about to academy of medicine. He explained about ECG interpretation and crisis situation in patients and how to interpretation of particular disease and it’s care. The session was very informative to all students.

Expert Talk on “Zero Malaria starts with me”

Department of Community Health Nursing organized expert talk on occasion of World Malaria Day Dr.Nirajkumar A Bharadva Asso.Prof, Parul Institute of Medical Science & Research (PIMSR) deliver the lecture on the topic “Zero Malaria Starts With Me” He explains  a grassroots campaign that aims to keep malaria high on the political agenda, mobilize additional resources, and empower communities to take ownership of malaria prevention and care. Session was interactive Parul Institute of Nursing faculty and students are attended.

Expert Talk on “Essential Obstetrical Care”

An expert talk was arranged by dept of obstetrics and gynecological Nursing on topic of “ESSENTIAL OBSTETRICAL CARE” on 11th April, 2019, Safe motherhood day. Talk was delivered by Dr.Noopur Nagar ma’am, Asst professor, dept of OBG, Parul sevashram Hospital, She has focused on different aspects of ESSENTIAL OBSTETRICAL CARE like Antenatal care, management of labor, Partograph, Postnatal care, family planning etc. The session was very informative and students learnt a lot from the lecture.

Expert talk on “Building child friendly environment in hospitals”

Department of Child Health Nursing, Parul Institute of Nursing, Parul University conducted expert talk on “Building child friendly environment in hospitals.” On 01/04/2019. Ms. Perminderkaur Wadhvani was present at Parul Institute of Nursing, Parul University for delivering expert talk to the 3 rd Year B.Sc Nursing and 2 nd Year GNM Students. At the start session, Mr. Tejas Pandya, Assistant Professor welcome all the dignitaries and participates for the session and briefed the the participants regarding topic. She briefly introduced “Child Life Program” and its objectives. She also described objectives of the program and lastly concluded the topic by Ms. Perminderkaur Wadhvan on “Building child friendly environment in hospitals.” Setup and session was very interactive and enlighten for the students.

Expert talk on Reproductive Health of Adolescent Girls

Parul Institute of Nursing arranged an expert talk on reproductive health of adolescent girls, session was delivered by Dr. Snehal S and Dr. Rinki S, Academic of Pediatrics where 100 students participated in awareness program. Both the experts provoked about reproductive health for adolescent girls and stress management.

Expert Lecture on Young people and mental health in a changing world

Department OF Mental Health Nursing, Faculty OF Nursing celebrated World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2018 with a theme of the year “young people and mental health in a changing world”. Adolescence and the early years of adulthood are a time of life when many changes occur, for example changing schools, leaving home, and starting university or a new job. For many, these are exciting times. They can also be times of stress and apprehension however. In some cases, if not recognized and managed, these feelings can lead to mental illness. With the thought of bringing awareness about the importance of mental health among our young students, an expert lecture on the theme was organized and Dr. Anup Chhasatia, Psychiatrist, Parul Sevashram hospital really did justice to the topic and delivered an excellent thought provoking lecture.

Expert Talk by Dr.D.S. Veerabhadraswamy on Life Skill for Adolescent

Parul Institute of Nursing organized expert talk on “ Life Skills for Adolescents” on 20th July 2018. Dr.D.S. Veerabhadraswamy from Saudi Arabia, Adjunct Professor of Parul Institute of Nursing. He explained the importance of 10 life skills and how these skills has to be incorporated in one’s life. The students were made to realize the importance of qualities of everyone’s life and one can excel in education as well as personal life.

Expert Talk on Change the future of migration: Invest in food security and rural development

Parul Institute of Nursing had organized expert talk on theme of “Change the future of migration: Invest in food security and rural development.” On 16th October 2017. Dr.Vijayakumar H S, Registrar, Parul University, Addresses the need to build the resilience of displaced and host communities. World Food Day is an important time to reiterate the right to food as a basic human right; that investing in sustainable food systems and rural development means addressing some of the major global challenges – from empowering the world’s growing population to protecting the global climate to tackling the root causes of hunger and malnutrition.

Expert Talk on Pediatric Blood Disorders

Department of Child Health Nursing arranged the Expert Talk on Pediatric Blood Disorders on 20th March 2018. Dr. Hardik Dave discussed about sickle cell anemia and Dr. Shreya Parekh delivered a lecture on Hemophilia. Participants were 3 rd year B.Sc Nursing, 2 nd GNM and 2nd Year B.Sc Nursing Students and faculties.

A Guest Lecture on Scope Of Nursing Profession

Ms. Jasuben Patidar who is presently the Registrar of Gujarat Nursing Council and who has wide experience in coordination and implementation of nursing curriculum, conducted lecture on nursing profession. Wherein she oriented the novice students as well as senior students regarding various job prospects, different requirements in different nursing courses. Students got a firsthand experience of understanding the scope of nurses in India as well as various job prospects for them in the future.
